Defensive Linemen in the Movies: Ben Davidson

Ben Davidson's career began, as it seems so many football players in an uncredited role as a football player. In  M*A*S*H*, Davidson played a prominant role in the football game scene, which is often cited as one of the best in cinema.

 

In the X-Rated Behind the Green Door Davidson played a doorman.  

He got his first speaking role on the TV series  Banacek - "Let's Hear It for a Living Legend".

Next came the role of Thor in The Black 6 where be battled with fellow players Gene Washington, Carl Eller and Joe Greene.

Davidson had one of the most active schedules among former players from 1975-82 at which time he got a starring role in Conan the Barbarian as Rexor.

Davidson was again very active in Hollywood and in 1991 was one of the convict football players in Necessary Roughness.
